First Hand Reports from Ukraine Leader & International Media Specialists.
Thursday, April 28, 2022
Best Western, 1517 16th Street SW, Rochester, Minnesota
Victor Akhterov and Ed Cannon, will be in Rochester for one day, to address four audiences, giving updates on their experiences during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Victor Akhterov, Executive Director of seven Christian Radio Stations in Ukraine.
Dr. Victor Akhterov, born and raised in Ukraine, has been the Executive Director of Eurasia Far East Broadcasting Company for 30 years. He oversees seven Stations in Ukraine and active Online Work in Russia. Victor understands Russian oppression, and will provide the latest update from his home country, and the invasion by Russia. His father was imprisoned for practicing his Christian faith, and Victor spent most of his teenage years fatherless. Victor turned down a Russian opportunity to be indoctrinated as a “Pioneer” in the Russian education system for the brightest young people. Instead, Victor studied and received a Doctorate in Theology and Communication.
Ed Cannon President of Far East Broadcasting Co.
Ed Cannon has been the President of Far East Broadcasting Co. (FEBC) since 2012. Far East Broadcasting Co. has 149 stations in 50 countries, which broadcast in 145 languages. FEBC can be heard by FOUR BILLION people world-wide. Last year FEBC Stations and Online Work had 148 million listener responses. People who are suffering in Ukraine receive very little psychological help and even less spiritual help in this season of war. Help us support this rare opportunity that comforts, encourages and strengthens our Ukraine neighbors by attending one or more of the Rochester events on April 28th.
