Agenda
Jim & Angela Miser have adopted TEN children, Eight have special needs and Five are adults still living at home.
Rather than have children, Jim & Angela Miser CHOSE to adopt children with special needs that likely few if any people would choose to adopt. They felt their unique medical training would allow them to meet un-met needs few others could or would meet.
Thus, the international adoption process began. Eventually at child TEN the process would be complete (number wise). Eight of the ten children were substantially challenged with various special needs.
Jim and Angela’s parental commitment has been and continues to be life long, Five of the eight special needs children (all now adults) live at home with the Misers and likely will for their entire life…! That is COMMITMENT!
We chose to speak about valuing children (ALL CHILDREN) by sharing with you Dr. Miser (a UK citizen). As you might imagine Dr. Miser is involved meeting needs of children as a doctor and non-profit organizational head around the world.
This is a MUST opportunity. Without question you will come away inspired. Please help spread the word about this special story and plan now to attend.
We also will be briefly introducing a new community venture regarding how we can better value children who have special needs such as mental health challenges, foster care and adoption needs. Our community friends who work with children who need an extra touch of compassion, will join us.
This is part of “2024 The Year of Respect”, a community-wide initiative that strives to reshape our attitudes and actions toward each other. Join us in this HEAD & HEART experience, as we take actionable steps to build a kinder community that is a light and example for the world. Let’s do this Together!
